Psycho: Poster Design

 

In my Introduction to Graphic Design class, we had to reinvent an Alfred Hitchcock movie poster, using a handmade element and inspiration from Saul Bass.  I have always admired the film Psycho, so I was thrilled for the opportunity.  I chose different weights of scrap booking paper to depict a slice of Norman’s life.  I thought this was a perfect metaphor for the movie would be to show Norman’s taxidermy in his mother’s living room.  Norman states that he loves to stuff birds because they seem the most life like when he’s finished, which parallels what he does to his mother.
